About the game (pictures coming soon):

“I am developing a hybrid point and click/visual novel game. I am in the concept stage right now, and using my background in graphic design, music production/composition, and story writing, to create the world and elements of the game. The concept so far is that the game is set in a retro-fusion futuristic world. The main character is a detective, and much of the world is now using AR (Augmented Reality) which makes solving crimes interestingly complex. I plan on using a very multi-media approach in the depth and aesthetics of the game, starting chapters with story and "handing over the reins" to the player for the point and click portions. This project has really given me focus and goal-oriented approaches to my existing skills and hobbies in a way that brings me a lot of fulfillment. I hope that my love of what I do is readily apparent in the entire project start to finish. Sometimes I will be working on the soundtrack during music lives. Other times character design, texturing, backgrounds, and artistry for the game through various levels of graphic design. My Twitch channel is designed to give an entire view of my process and the things I love doing and how they fit together like puzzle pieces into my game.” - Lio Roxy

How it started

“My partner and I were actually joking one morning over breakfast burritos about creating a dating sim (diabolical I know) of myself as a silly thing due to the wide variety of requests and comments I get from clients as a model sometimes. Suddenly the conversation evolved as the creative aspects started being discussed. I realized I already do all the parts needed to make a more serious game and that it would actually be the perfect way to story tell using all those elements. I had already wanted to use my skills together (i.e. spoken word or poetry or stories over music, or doing my own cover art… writing and illustrating my own book, etc.) this was just a perfect mix of all of them together. This quickly became a project I readily fell in love with almost more than any other mixture of ideas previously put forth. Ever since then my mind is locked in on this, and I know it’s what I want to do. Everything clicked mentally and I am so excited. We might still make the dating sim though just for shits and giggles.” -Lio Roxy
